Last night, our students and families gathered at Dragons, Marshmallows, and Masterpieces for a fun-filled evening of creativity and storytelling! Students began the night by decorating their writer’s notebooks. They then rotated through engaging writing stations before sharing their work—all while sipping delicious hot chocolate! We know the weather was too beautiful for hot chocolate yesterday, but winter had other plans for our original date, but we knew writing night must go on! Parents also joined in the fun, learning how to encourage writing at home and sharing how writing contributes to their careers. Thank you to everyone who attended and made the night a huge success!

Elementary Literacy Night fun! An event centered around our school One Read, "Notebook of Doom, Rise of the Balloon Goons" by author Troy Cummings. Mr. Cummings will be visiting our students in May for Read In Day, so we wanted to celebrate his tribute to literacy. Students had fun creating "snack monsters", learning to design their own balloon goons, discuss test-taking strategies, learn about Really Great Reading, code robots around Stermont (setting of the book), and read another book by Troy Cummings while working on letter writing skills. Thank you to all that joined us!
