Our students are immersed in their learning!
Our second grade students in Mrs. Grable's class spent time on the learning standard of using a number line to add within 20. The students created a life-size number line and hopped from one addend to the other to determine the sum!
Ms. McCauley's third grade students are learning about our state government and the law making process. The students in each third grade class created a bill for a new class law. Students in the class elected a class leader and then conducted a vote to approve the bill for Ms. McCauley to then approve the bill,. The bill was sent to the school's governor, Mrs. Kountz, for the bill to either be signed into law or vetoed for revision. After a few revisions, there are three new third grade laws!
What exciting ways to engage our students in the learning process!

Our RISE students proudly participated in West Platte's celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month today!
To honor Disability Awareness Month, West Platte organized a special day filled with fun and friendship, featuring a walk (or wheel!) along the trail. Each milestone was marked with bursts of color powder, making the journey even more vibrant!
We’re excited to highlight the importance of inclusion, accessibility, and community as we celebrate together. 💙 #DisabilityAwareness #InclusionMatters #RISE
