Vision of School Social Work
My mission is provide a secure school where all students feel safe to learn at their greatest potential. My mission is promote mental health awareness by providing education and statistics for continued improvement within the school. I plan to educate on trauma informed school practices and enhance social emotional learning so all teachers are providing an atmosphere that is healthy for both the students and the teachers. I plan to implement ways to identify the concerns within the school, identify individual student needs and address them, improve behavioral concerns and classroom management, and research and implement programs that can improve overall well being of students and staff members.

Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. It can affect how we perform and succeed in school. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.
Mindfulness- is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we are doing.
