Summative Assessment

Google Sites Portfolios

Students can track and demonstrate learning using a new Google Site! It allows them to upload a variety of content and organize the content into pages. They are able to load anything from their Google Drive, most content from their computer, and even YouTube videos. Have them create this digital portfolio to show their understanding in your content area!

EdCite (Totally free!)

Edcite provides a web-based platform for teachers to design interactive Assignments that are aligned with the rigor and style of the Common Core. The more that teachers use Edcite, the more useful the product becomes! There are many sample standardized test questions from the state of Missouri that you can easily embed into your assessment. For example, the 8th grade MAP Practice test is completely available through EdCite. It also offers a variety of question types to make your assessments more dynamic. Some question examples are: drag & drop, fill in tables, and graphing. A math keypad is also available if needed!

Google Forms & Locked Mode

Once you have created a google form that you would like to use as an assessment, turn on locked mode to prevent students from opening up other tabs or window while taking the assessment. If they try to open up something else while in locked mode, the assessment will automatically be submitted. Be sure to turn locked mode off once you are ready to grade and evaluate student responses.
