Elementary Open House

Tuesday, Aug. 13; 5:30 - 7 p.m., please bring your school supplies. This will be for all grades PK - 6. Kindergarten teachers will have a brochure for parents and be available to answer any questions you might have during this time.

First Day of School

August 15, beginning at 7:55. Reminder that the first day is a full day.

During registration, everyone will enter through the high school common doors. The first station everyone will go through will be proof of residency. After being approved at the residency table, everyone will receive information on past due balances, such as outstanding lunch balances, lost books, or other unpaid balances from the previous year.

Proof of Residency

Proof of residency is required for everyone in the district this year.  You will need two forms of residency when registering. One has to be a lease agreement or mortgage payment form, along with a utility bill, such as water, electric, or trash.

Information Update

Information that needs to be updated, such as address, contact information, emergency contacts, and email information.


If you are in need of Dragon gear, please stop by the PTO table and place your order!! Also, anyone is allowed to join PTO for $5 and receive a discounted card to restaurants in the district.  PTO members will be giving tours of the building to new elementary parents and MB students will be giving tours to new students; you will also be able to pick up a brochure and a FAQ’s sheet regarding the elementary.



Bob is our director of transportation and he will be able to tell you an approximate time of when your child’s bus will arrive at your home. Whether your child is riding the bus or not, please stop at this station, because sometimes an emergency does arise and students may need to ride the bus home on occasion.


A form about your child’s medical information should be updated annually. If there are no medical changes, you may stop by and initial the form. This is also a good time to speak with one of our nurses if your child needs daily medication and how this will be handled during the school day.

Check-Out Table/Fee Table

At the check-out table, you will be able to pick up items such as school calendar, free and reduced lunch forms, lunch menu, Athena (before/after school program) information, technology usage form. This is where you will also pay registration fees, lunch account, and any past due balances. Cash or checks made payable to Mid-Buchanan are the forms of payment that will be accepted.

Elementary Yearbook

Elementary yearbook ordering forms will be sent home at a later date during the school year. If you have questions regarding the elementary yearbook, please contact kpartridge@midbuchanan.k12.mo.us.
